The Story Behind Delcara
Based in beautiful Kelowna, BC, our Delcara team understands where you are coming from. Like many of you, we’ve experienced the frustration of the wellness rollercoaster—starting strong in January, only to lose momentum by March. We’ve watched friends and clients struggle with the same pattern, and began asking: What if we're approaching health all wrong?
That question led us to explore how nature moves through seasons, each with its own energy and purpose. We realized that we, as humans, are not separate from these natural rhythms - we are part of them. As we try to maintain the same intensity, the same goals, the same routines all year long, we're working against our own nature.
Delcara was created from this insight—a health coaching agency that honours the wisdom of seasonal living and helps people build sustainable wellness practices that flow with, rather than against, the natural world.
What Does "Delcara" Mean?
After finding out that another had trademarked the original name of her health coaching company, our founder, Judie, invited her mind to be creative while she was driving to the coast and came up with a new word. Delcara can mean: “a fresh style”, “of the behaviour or custom”, but we love “to bloom a friend”. That can mean a friendship with yourself, your community and our organization.
